Manuel Q. Gotis, CESO III, DILG-Bureau of Local Government Supervision (BLGS) Director and Concurrent Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Regional Director of the DILG Regional Office IV-A, commended the efforts of the LGUs for its consistent compliance with the full disclosure policy and conformity with the auditing standards, rules, and regulations of the Commission on Audit (COA).

Based on the official list released by the DILG – BLGS on October 6, 88 percent of the 147 LGUs in the region composed of five provincial governments, 18 city governments, and 106 municipal governments made it to the list of 1,559 LGUs nationwide which have obtained the said GFH mark.

The said GFH passers have satisfactorily complied with the minimum criteria set by the DILG specifically obtaining an unqualified or qualified opinion from COA and compliance to Department’s full disclosure policy.

Citing the increased passing rate, RD Gotis expressed hope for all the LGUs in the Calabarzon region to set a 100-percent compliance rate in the succeeding GFH assessments.
