Sulong Calabarzon is the official publication of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office IV-A which operates both in print and online through website www.calabarzon.dilg.gov.ph/news.
It covers a wide range of good governance stories and serves as the rallying point of consolidated stories of programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) of the DILG inspiring local governments in the region to foster excellence, sustainable development, and good local governance.
For the year 2018, Sulong Calabarzon will be expanding its publication scope to include stories with focus on local government units’ (LGU) best practices and initiatives; accomplishments and success stories of LGU PPAs funded or being implemented with the support of the DILG (e.g. Community-Based Monitoring System, Performance Challenge Fund, Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities, and SALINTUBIG Program); and other stories relevant to promoting good local governance that would be of interest to other LGUs and the general public.
As active partners in promoting good governance at the local level, we are inviting our partner LGUs to participate in the submission of news and feature stories highlighting the aforementioned focus points.
We welcome all contributions, however, kindly allow us to edit, publish, and rewrite submissions for style and clarity. Should we decide to publish a submission, we will give attribution to the LGU contributor through an article byline. A brief description and a reference link to your website will be also included in the closing note of the article.
