President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has declared June 19 as a special non-working day in Laguna as the nation observes the 157th birth anniversary of national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea by the authority of the President signed Proclamation No. 507. on May 31.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people of Province of Laguna, be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his [Dr. Jose P. Rizal] ideals and teachings,” the proclamation read. —R4A
