Following the transfer of Assistant Regional Director Ariel O. Iglesia to DILG Mimaropa, DILG Calabarzon welcomes Dir. Elias F. Fernandez, Jr. as the new ARD of the region.
Through Department Order 2018-531, DILG Officer-in-Charge Año reassigned Fernandez to DILG Calabarzon from DILG Region VII.
In an interview, Fernandez acknowledged the experiences he had during his stint as the ARD of Central Visayas Region which can greatly contribute to the operations in Calabarzon.
“My 8-year stay in Region VII was an experience of growth and positive changes, that will help me in the daily regional operations in IV-A. I can’t wait to share all these with my new family – the DILG Calabarzon,” Fernandez said.
Fernandez officially reported to DILG Calabarzon on June 18 and expressed his excitement with working with the employees and officials in the region during the weekly convocation at the Regional Office.
“I am looking forward to working with the people of CALABARZON. With the DILG Calabarzon core values of R4A, Respectability with a sense of Altruism, Accountability, Adeptness, and Adaptability, I firmly believe that together with RD Gotis, we can steer the region toward a more effective implementation and monitoring of our various programs and projects,” he said.
He also encouraged the personnel to work as a team, to support the innovations and PPAs – existing and new, and to always live by the core values of the Department in the performance of the duties and responsibilities.
