Sulong Calabarzon: Zooming in on National Disaster Resilience Month

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 29 series of 2017 signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the month of July is observed as National Disaster Resilience Month.

Sulong Calabarzon talks to Civil Defense Officer Alex Czar Masiglat of Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region IV-A on activities set by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) for this year’s month-long observance of NDRM.

During the 40-minute program, Masiglat also gives us in-depth details of the disaster preparedness efforts of the CALABARZON RDRRMC and this year’s Gawad Kalasag—the country’s premier annual awards for outstanding contributions to disaster risk reduction and management.

Masiglat encourages the public to join in disaster preparedness efforts of the government and partake DRRM as a way of living. These and more on the second episode of Sulong Calabarzon Season 2. —R4A
