Tropical Depression Ramil has slightly intensified and is now in the vicinity of Calamian Group of Islands, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its 5:00 p.m. bulletin, the center of Tropical Depression Ramil was located at 25 kilometers south of Coron, Palawan.

Packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 75 kilometers per hour, Ramil is forecast to move in the west direction at 18 kilometers per hour.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 1 is still raised over Northern Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands and Southern Occidental Mindoro.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are expected within the 200 km diameter of the tropical depression.

Residents in the said areas as well as over Central Luzon, Cagayan Valley Region and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Island are alerted against possible landslides and flashfloods.

Sea travel remains risky over the said areas as well as in the northern and eastern seaboard of Luzon due to the Tropical Depression and the surge of the Northeast Monsoon.

Meanwhile, due to the prevailing tropical depression, parts of Luzon including Metro Manila will continue to experience light to moderate with possible occasional heavy rains and thunderstorms.

Ramil is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility evening of November 2 or early morning of November 3, the state weather bureau said.

The next weather bulletin will be issued by PAGASA at 8:00 p.m.—R4A/DOST-PAGASA
