“Time is too short but there are many things to do”, thus spoke DILG Batangas Provincial Director Adelma D. Mauleon in her message during the conduct of the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) Election Meeting on July 16, 2018, as she challenged the newly-elected Punong Barangays at Tanauan City and encouraged them to use the Liga as a forum to crystallize and resolve common concerns affecting the barangays.
Presidents, Vice Presidents, Auditors, and Board Members of each City and Municipality were elected during the simultaneous LnB Election Meeting all over the province. They will be confirmed by the Liga National Executive Board in accordance with Article IX, Section 2 of the Liga Election Code within fifteen (15) days upon receipt of the election results. Said confirmation will serve as the President’s ticket to sit as ex-officio member in the Sangguniang Bayan or Sangguniang Panglungsod.
Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay election will be held on July 30, 2018 and will still be supervised by the DILG. Delegates to this election meeting are the duly-elected Presidents at the City and Municipal levels who are as of follows:
