Statement of DILG OIC Catalino S. Cuy on the reiteration of ASEAN-related advisories

As the 31st ASEAN Summit draws closer, the 60,000 security and public safety personnel from the different government agencies are ‘ready and equipped’ to the ensure safety and security of both the delegates and the public during the said event. We are always reminding our deployed personnel to bestrict, alert, and courteous in the performance of their duties.

Likewise, being ‘ready and equipped’ means that we see to it that the public will encounter minimal inconvenience during the ASEAN Summit compared to APEC.  That is why we are continuously reminding them to make last minute holiday plans through our advisories.
We strongly advise the public on the following:

  • For passengers with domestic and international flights from November 11-15, 2017, be at the airport three to four hours earlier than their flight schedules to avoid inconvenience.
  • No vessel of any kind shall be allowed to pass through the vicinity waters within one nautical mile of H2O Hotel, Manila to OKADA Hotel, New Seaside Drive in Parañaque City from November 5-16, 2017.
  • All incoming and outgoing vessels from the shorelineof H2O Hotel to the mouth of Pasig River will be escorted by patrol boards of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as it will be designated as a controlled zone until November 16, 2017.
  • No drone operations within 40 miles along Rizal Park as well as in Clark Field, Pampanga.
  • Avoid tailgating the ASEAN convoys passing through SCTEX, NLEX, EDSA and Roxas Blvd is strictly prohibited to avoid accident.
