Pilot Episode: DILG Programs, Projects, and Activities

In the pilot episode of Sulong Calabarzon, Regional Director Manuel Q. Gotis shares the overview of the different programs, projects, and activities of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) helping local government units (LGUs) in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) Region foster excellence, sustainable development, and good local governance.

Gotis also reveals notable accomplishments of the DILG Regional Office IV-A in 2017 focused on its mandate of sustaining local government unit transparency, accountability, and active people’s participation; ensuring peace and order, and public safety in the communities; inspiring local economic development; improving people’s access to social services; and building disaster-resilient and climate change adaptive LGUs.
